Description:

Sage V Foods is seeking an experienced customer service representative to work in our Stuttgart, AR manufacturing facility.  This person will be responsible to maintain good customer relationships and provide customer service for the company's various product lines.  The right candidate should be both reliable and highly organized, as well as seeking to apply initiative, positive attitude, and enthusiasm. Job Responsibilities:

Customer Service (approximately 80%)
  • Process incoming orders (heavy phone and email interactions on a daily basis)
  • Inform customers of changes or updates to their orders
  • Maintain updated Production / Shipping status by working closely with production planner and logistics
  • Research/Resolve customer complaints
  • Product release and inventory maintenance
  • Assist A/R & A/P with accounting questions/concerns
  • Back up co-workers’ accounts as well as assist the Sales/Marketing team
  • Monitor railcar activity each week
  • Enter new customers in database, initiate credit approval process
  • Handle new inquiries and develop customer relationships
  • Maintain warehouse and trucking contacts
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor
Inventory Accounting (approximately 10%)
  • Maintain required records and data bases
  • Research/Resolve shipment discrepancies
  • Respond to Accounting inquiries/concerns
Freight Accounting (approximately 10%)
  • Data entry
  • Approve freight bills for all product categories
  • Research/Resolve freight discrepancies
Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience:
  • College degree preferred but not required – equivalent experience will be considered
  • One – three years’ experience in sales service, food or transportation industry
  Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Above average skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Effective English written and oral skills
  • Exceptional follow-up skills
  • Organized and able to prioritize and multi-task
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  Physical Demands:
  • Able to sit for long periods of time at a computer work station
  • Able to work extended hours and weekends as needed
  • Able to read small print in various documents
  • Able to use all typical office equipment
  Work Environment:
  • Plant office
